Toolbox.co.uk (Plumbworld) - NOT RECOMMENDED - A bad experience!

this post is from 2011. Any chance they are a legit company but have had serious issues with some orders??
they have lots of reviews on trustpilot0 -
based on reviewcentre comments. I think they are dropshippers and orders are fulfilled by 3rd parties.

everything seems to be out of stock with 14+ days lead time.0 -
I'm having the same problem as 'Garytheexulted' with these people 'Tool box' I ordered a pillar drill, not only did it take 4 days to get to me, but when it did arrive it was faulty! I emailed them showing this fact with pics and was ignored for the 48hr period (the time frame they say they will get back to you in) Their response was; "Thank you for your email and I’m sorry you have cause to contact us with regards to your ordered item.
I will need to contact the manufacturer directly with regards to your previous email.
Once I have received their review of this problem, I will of course return to assist you further."
In other words unless the manufacture excepts responsibility for the fault, tool box will do sod all! Well so far they have done sod all!
So many more days of BS from them, they reply to me to say "I can completely understand the frustration regarding the item and can confirm that the manufacturer have advised that this is a problem with the Chuck. (no-!!!! Sherlock)
They have advised that they required this item back so we will therefore arrange for a collection and a refund of the unit to be generated.
If you do require an alternate item, you would need to place a new order via our website as we unfortunately cannot facilitate exchanges within our system.
Please can you advise me of a suitable collection date between Tuesdays and Fridays so that I can proceed to assist you further.
Apologies once again for the inconvenience caused.
If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kindest Regards
Kyle Sanders"
Which I advised them in the same day when to pick it up.... and have every day.
But since then radio silence, nada, nothing...
I have emailed them every day and all I received was a rude response saying "Your query (toolbox) is being handled by Kyle Sanders." ...Well I replied saying that is my point, It's not being handled!!
Anyone one out there, if you want to buy something online give theses people a VERY wide birth!!!!!! Not to mention any online company with out a phone number, forget about it do NOT use them! I will not rest till everyone knows, what crap service these rip of merchants are!
Two weeks I've been down at work with out a pillar drill, and still am because of these people! Pfffft
Anyone have any more forums I can post this in???)

well after reading all the comments about this site I was not impressed so off I went looking for something else suitable but nothing so i took the gamble and placed an order to my surprise it was quick and easy the following day I got an email from citylink advising me that they have a parcel to deliver to me the following day I received the goods as said all was good and to think I nearly passed up on this deal.
I thought it would nice to leave a positive post as no one has just to say my experience was good maybe they just messed up on others like all company’s do.
To finish I would like to say I am not an employee lol :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl:
Thank You Toolbox.co.uk :T :T :T :T :T0 -
Here's an email i received from plumbworld a day after the money left my account & the day before it was expected to arrive. Item was a power shower. Before ordering, their customer services team mentioned that the item would be delivered within between 2-3 working days.
Ive never has this information asked of me from an online company and became suspicious instantly. I then looked up other reviews online and noticed all of the warnings from others.
After calling up customer services - who's helpline took about 20minutes in a queue to get through to, they said that they could provide absolutely no information about this issue and that i had to take it up by email with the accounts team. I asked for the order to be processed or a refund. To their credit they did provide a full refund after i mentioned how suspicious i thought their activity was. Make of it what you will:

Cancel.....if the credit card was authorised by the bank then that's good enough info. That's what I would do.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Have to confess something didn't smell right about it, but that letter sounds HIGHLY suspicious, I don't think I will be doing business with a company using those sort of terms.
I wonder what Watchdog would say?:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"
MarleyBoy "You are the Greatest"
Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)

You just must have been unlucky. I ordered a Triton Electric Shower very late Friday night 24th July 2015. It was delivered lunch time Monday 27th July 2015. Today was installed by a qualified electrician.
The only emails I received from them was for confirmation of purchase, copy of invoice and regular tracking of my parcel. Also an email giving me the time period package would be delivered and confirmation the package had been delivered and signed for.
I will definitely order from them again."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0
