T-mobile didnt even ask who I was and gave me my PAC code
Phoned up T-mobile to request PAC codes for the two lines. Bloke gave me one and then as he was setting up the second one, I asked him why he had not gone through any security details with me and made sure I was the account holder.
His excuse - "I'm trying to do 2 things at once and I'm not a woman"
Decided to leave T-mobile as the only deal they were prepared to do for the Sony Ericson Xperia10 is the exact same one as what everyone else is doing (£30 per month, £30 for phone) and we got rather annoyed that its not even an upgrade for us (ok it would be new phone but no difference in price to what we are paying now)

if you email cust.rel@t-mobile.co.uk and state the time and date you phoned, they may find the call recording and take action. You may get a goodwill gesture. G0

If you are calling from the phone they have no particular need to verify account details and doing so might even be illegal. They cannot deny a Porting Authorisation Code request - it might be seen as the operator trying to block a user from transferring.
If he gave you the code for a second phone, that is a little suspect. But I'm sure he knew both founds were linked into the same account and the PAC without actually having the phone in hand is useless.0
