It annoys me so much, I don't really have a problem with the providers imposing limits, I just wish they'd be honest about it and when they actually have a set data transfer limit, say what it is instead of saying 'unlimited' and then hiding behind 'fair usage' (which with 3G connections and the increasing capabilities of smart phones, isn't necessarily that fair).
However, the ASA ruled that it's completely acceptable to call something unlimited and then impose a limit, so doubt it's going to change any time soon.0 -
Just acting as devils advocate.
At least with a not too strictly enforced, *limited* fup, you can occasionally go over your limit.
Imagine going 1Kb over and being hit with huge bills.
I know this already happens in some instances, but, this is generally where blatant over-use occurs.Move along, nothing to see.0
