Skysports, Broadband, Phone-line (packaged or seperate)

Hi all.

Currently on NTL for cable TV and Phone and no internet at the mo.

Notice that it's difficult to get good broadband and dial-up internet services with an NTL phone line.

Was wondering if anyone could suggest the best and cheapest way to get the following:

All Skysports channels (inc PremPlus)
Phone-line
Broadband

If Sky is cheaper than NTL then i was thinking of cancelling the NTL phone-line and getting BT back, as this would also mean more choice with regards the internet. Would rather not sign up to a 12 month broadband contract unless there is a company cheap enough (i.e if it's only about £50 or so more to have it for 12 months than just 3 months and their disconnection fee).

Any suggestions and advice? Thanks in advance.

I think you're missing the point.

I want the best and cheapest, which is probably NOT NTL!

Also want to leave NTL as they continued to charge me for a service that i cancelled months ago.

  • Sky can provide you with all that. If you're on one of their LLU exchanges, you'll be able to get their broadband for free (2Gb limit) once they go live, if they haven't already.

If you're not on their LLU exchange, then you'll pay around the same per month for their broadband as the likes of BT, Orange, etc.

Had ntl from an independent cable modem rather than through the back of the set-top box. Had no problem at all. they usually do 3 for £30 offers.

Saying that we've recently moved and gone for Sky (can't bear the planner on cable), BT phone (wanted caller ID that cable don't do here) and ntl broadband. So one service from each!
