Some institutions don't actually tell you. They rely on people not bothering to check. It's dishonest of course, but quite legal.

If someone doesn't want to bother checking their rates and switching about, the answer is to invest in an account or bond with a fixed rate/period.

    Not my fault.

It's no excuse for being rude, there are plenty of people on here giving realistic advice which you just don't seem to want, in which case, don't post here.

This is me under pressure. Not my fault.

This is one of the biggest problems around these days, too many people don't want to take responsibility for their own actions.

Being rude to people trying to offer constructive advice is your fault and there is no excuse for it.

I never got any advice on these boards. I came up with the solution.
You did have lots of useful advice. Your "solution" was apparently to take your savings out of the banks completely. Not very bright.

And 9/11 wasn't the fault of the terrorists, it was lazy Americans who couldn't be bothered to protect their own airspace.
That is a disgusting thing to say, an insult to the family and friends of all those who died, and completely irrelevant to these forums which are to do with money saving and associated topics. If you can't stop coming up with tripe like this and abuse for others who are trying to help you, please stop posting here.
