  • I have also been scammed this morning for just over £40.

Given that the item price was £10 less than anywhere else, and the home/index page of the website doesn't display, and the payment options were not as described, and the testimonials run out on 16 April, and there is no sign of lionwave on ebay itself, I guess there are plenty of signs showing that it was a scam.

I paid by immediate online bank transfer, and there's no hope of recovering this without finding the scammer - very unlikely!

    I feel a little foolish, but I hope I've learned a lesson.:(
  • hey,

i just checked my bank statement. the money that i spent on the headphones at lionwave has been credited back into my account.
i phoned them after i bought the headphones and they said i would have to wait 30 days before i could raise a query.

    oh well, can't complain.
  • Today I have been scammed with Lionwave. Nice site selling popular equipment. I got the site from google shopping and it came up as the best site.? So bought a printer - they promptly sent a nationwide account sortcode and account number, with a refference number so the printer could be dispatched. Waited waited then emailed but the site does not send any emails - I then phoned and waited on the phone and waited - nobody answers that phone call. Phoned my bank and they have said I have NO come back because it was a money transfer. so I am of to the cops and I will never ever buy again on money transfer. beware

omg!! im so glad i found this, i thought i was the only one!!

i8 too am usually careful but just expected it to be legit (i was a little wary of the 'offer boxes' on the site as they are identical to the play.com ones...right down to the same font) but i only found those after ordering! i bought a black wii remote with motion plus for £35...£5 cheaper than anywhere else. and also paid by bank transfer....so is there any way of getting this money back? i cant believe it came under google shopping results!! and they also sell on ebay!! i even contacted them through ebay but no answer on there.....they have bad feedback too saying that the seller doesnt even exist!! its sooooo annoying i just want my money back :(

  • The same thing happened to me on the 18th April and still waiting
for non existent Weather Station I ordered. I don't really know
what you can do but I have just been on to my bank to get my
money back as I used a credit card. Wish I knew who to get in
touch with to report them as it is obviously a scam and they are
actually stealing from people and need reporting. Any ideas?
