Really fed up with nasty people =o(

Hi there,

2 weeks ago I was home shopping for a printer for my wedding. I'm on a tight budget so I was on google shopping and sorted the printer I wanted by the lowest price up hoping to get a bargain... I chose the cheapest one, and was directed to a shop that looked totally legit, even had all the shipping info etc. I paid the money with a talksport card my mum gave me as a gift to help with the wedding... its a pre-pay card. After I had made the payment, I received an email which confirmed I had made a payment to 'Albert Senbel' via Moneybookers. This was when the feeling of dread came over me! So far the printer has not materialised and I just know I have been ripped off. I have tried backtracking to the website, by searching for it the same way through google shopping I found it, and sure enough it still looked legit, tried writing a message to them but it wouldn't do through, you couldn't click the send button and I also tried to google the site and it doesn't come up if you type lionwave and if you type www.lionwave.co.uk you get an error. Received another email last Saturday from Moneybookers reminding me of my payment to 'Albert Senbel ( amazinseller@live.co.uk ) will show up on my statement. I have emailled and surprise surprise I have had no response! I have no idea what to do, if there is anything I can do. Funds are so tight for the wedding and the printer was purchased so I can make invites etc myself. Thanks to some heartless people I have lost £60 and have to spend it all over again to get my printer... I know this doesn't sound like a lot of money to some people but to me its a huge amount.... is there any advice at all on how to get this money back?

Nikki :(

Try moneybookers, they may have some kind of dispute service like paypal does?

The links seem to lead back to a company called Kikatek which is a genuine company, it could be their site was hacked or maybe they have bought out liontek?? Liontek site looks a bit amateurish to me? Try calling Kiktek andsee if they can help and good luck.

Also - for good advice, try phoning consumer direct - they will be able to have a look and see if this is a known problem with this company, and advise you what to do next.
Good Luck x

hey guys!! bad news...ITS A SCAM!! just found out a lot of things about lionwave.co.uk as i work in the IT/Web sector and did a "whois dot com/" checkup on lionwave dot co dot uk

Name: Albert Senbel..Wrong..its Guy Senbel
Address: LionWave dot co dot uk
Thornton Road Industrial Estate
Pickering
North Yorkshire
United Kingdom
YO18 8NA ..
WRONG!! ..its ...

Registrant's address:
121 london road
kent
kent
PO9 9PP
United Kingdom

Registrant Type (Should be Business) but its UK Individual.

the link for the "submit" button on the contact section is invalid, and after studying the code inside the HTML, there is no <a ref> at all stating an onforwarded link!

the most annoying part is the account/domain was only registerd on the 8th April 2010..which is the cheekiest part!!

i hope this is enough to deter you away from this website!!

Think I've been scammed by these guys too (second time in a month by different sites!)

I ordered something on 28th April from Lionwave.co.uk. Got the same email you described saying the amount will be taken from my account by this Albert guy. Needless to say I haven't heard anything else. I have emailed back, no response. I have spent ages on hold to that 0843 number (dread to think what that cost!) to no avail. I have tried to email through the site but the form doesn't work. I'm so annoyed, more because I really needed what I'd ordered for tomorrow than for the actual money itself which I'm sure I'll get back at some point. Long story but I'm basically going to look really unprofessional and disorganised tomorrow even though I ordered the item in plenty of time in good faith.

On hold to moneybookers.com now. Good job I work for myself and can use the office landline to call these 0870 numbers all the time! I'd be bankrupt if I were on hold on my mobile!

Ok, just spoke to a nice lady at moneybookers who said she will contact the seller. If they don't hear back in 5-7 working days and if the seller isn't able to prove he's sent the item, they'll refund the money. They were really helpful actually. Think they're like Paypal. Who I had to raise my other issue with and they also refunded my money very quickly with minimum hassle. So give them a call. It's 0870 383 0232

So annoyed that this has never happend to me in the history of buying stuff online and now it's happened twice! So I need to buy the item again now. Going to go on ebay and only buy it from people with 100% feedback!

Keep us posted, I'll do the same.

Glad I found this post. I was just about to place an order from them. While I was holding for over 10 minutes on their 0845 number I did a quick search on them and found this thread.

I was a bit suspicious when the only payment method their website would take was a bank transfer so tried phoning to pay by credit card. The item I was after looked a bit too good to be true so I suppose the old saying if it looks too good to be true then it probably is holds true.

Hope you all get sorted.
