Looks like I've been had too.
Ordered something on 21st April for my Sons birthday, exactly the same experience as "guidarufino" eg. on phone listening to music for over an hour then gave up (search on number reveals it is one of those third party phone handling companies), "contact us" form doesn't work, no response to emails.
Annoyed because I Google'd for any negativity before ordering as it was a company I hadn't heard of before but there wasn't any. Seems now it was too new to have generated any.
Going to get on to MoneyBookers myself. Please post any outcomes.0 -

I've been scammed just a fraction under £50 and paid using a bank transfer. I contacted my bank the day after the transaction but there's no way of reversing it. Is there any way to get my money back? I feel so dumb this site is a clear scam, even the VAT number registered on the site is a fake.0

Have done a bit of digging on this as I was ripped off to the tune of £66 for a pair of non-existant two way radios. I suggest that anyone who has been ripped off reports it to Waltham Forest trading Standards. Here's the facts:
The address on the website doesn't exist. Also if you delve further into the website you will note there is no homepage and the contact button on his email page is a dead link as is his phone number that keeps you holding on indefinitely.
I tried to contact the trader. It was impossible. On further Googling of details from the website, I found that the trader had basically stolen the web pages off a legitimate business in the Pickering area (Dangleberrymusic.co.uk who has been informed). Further investigation revealed the trader as from Leyton.
His details are in fact these:
Abdul Mahar
295
High Road Leyton
Leyton
London
E10 5QN
United Kingdom
[TEXT DELETED]. He should be reported and shut down. Anyone thought of contacting the police?0 -
When you type something into Google and the first thread that comes up is a link to MSE along with a ;-( face - you just know that the item you purchased two weeks ago is never going to turn up!
I have just phoned my bank and they have said they will send out a claim form and have asked me to send it back along with the confirmation of order and the moneybookers receipt and the money will be credited back to my card...
I'm usually so careful - but I was buying a replacement phone for my OH (after he left it on top of the car and it got it a bit run over) and I let him do the research....note to self....do not let the boy buy things on internet!

I bought a pair of 50 quid headphones from this lionwave website, and unfortunately I paid by bank transfer. I tried ringing their number and when there was no answer I got sus. Then found this topic through google, will phone the bank but I doubt I will get my money back.0

I've just had an email back from moneybookers.com saying that the money will be repaid into my bank account.
Dear Guida Rufino,
We would like to inform you that your refund request has been processed and we have credited the amount of GBP 31.25 back to your credit/debit card (MASTERCARD, 5xxxxxxxxxxx6072). Depending on your bank, it will take up to 21 days to show on your credit/debit card account statement.
Sincerest regards,
The Moneybookers Team
Good news! So I suggest anyone else who has had the same problem contact moneybookers.
Does anyone have any suggestions of how to report this site to the police / fraud office? This kind of thing really p1sses me off and, though I've got my money back, it caused me a great deal of inconvenience professionally. :mad:No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
Consumer Direct have something
https://secure.consumerdirect.gov.uk/reportascam.aspx
and the MET Police say to report to your local police constabulary.
Am so sorry to read all your replies, I think it is so disheartening but am so glad you guys are getting your money back xxx0 -

Reported to MoneyBookers via phone last Friday and got same email yesterday as "guidarufino" saying that my money has been refunded. :j
Hasn't appeared on my credit card yet though. I also reported it to Halifax Mastercard...... they've just sent me a form to fill in so far!!
Not sure if those that paid via bank transfer will get same result but MoneyBookers are clearly aware of this scam now, so I'd definitely give them a call and refer them to this forum thread.
Has taught me a lesson: If its not a website I'm familiar with then first Google it (which I did with this one), then try phoning/emailing and see what response is achieved, then check out domain URL registration details, then use Google Streetview to confirm that business exists physically. It's a shame really because this sort of thing makes it more difficult for new and small businesses to be successful on the internet.
Good luck to all others in getting your money back!0
