proud of myself today - I let cous cous do its thing over night, then made a cous cous salad with spring onion, tinned corn and cucumber this morning, and roasted some field mushrooms to go on top. Very summery and scrummy.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000

Just looking at your sig - perhaps you can cut yourself a wee bit of slack on the GC because you are including lunches there?
Oh and your cous cous sounds lush but as a die-hard carnivore I'd add a pice of meat... *adds cous cous to June's shopping list:D26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Thankfully the May challenge went really well for me, opted for buying three lunches and got just one, Friday was my last working day, it's gone quite quickly this month, it's been easier as I've really got into the flow of the challenge and working later shifts this month has also helped, I have lunch at home and take something with me for the evening and also have less temptation to go out buy something for lunch/dinner as I've been taking my breaks at my desk.Nearly debt free

I find they're all the same (unless you want ones with flavourings already in them). Just have a play about with proportions of milk to oats or try water (old scottish way - my granddad made it with water and then added salt at the end!). You can even add more milk after it's cooked. Or maybe put some raisins/apricots through it. Think it's just stodgy by its nature.
You could also try bulgar wheat as porridge but don't think you can make that in a microwave, could be wrong though.

Hi MoneySavers!
I'm joining this one a bit late seeing as May's pretty much over but hey! Definitely want to take part in this challenge in June as I did this challenge myself in May (without the love of you guys!!) and I managed to only buy my lunch ONCE from M&S (in March & April I was probably spending £5 there 3-4 days a week! This month I made packed lunches each day, usually from a big batch of soup I would make each weekend) So I reckon now it's an "official" challenge for me I can reduce that 1 bought lunch (which I kept to £2.50) down to 0 bought lunches! Yippee! I love challenges! Right, off to make some soup
