Hi,
Can anyone help?
Seeing that from October Sainsbury's is cutting the amount of nectar points it is giving you on petrol, for 2points for ever pound spent. To 1 point for ever litre spent.
I'm now trying to work out who is offering the best deal on points on petrol.
I have Sainsburys, Tesco, and Shell close.
I think Tesco, and Shell kind of work out the same i think.
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers

Tesco Clubcard Plus.
2 points per pound = 2p cash = 8p in deals PER POUND SPENT!!!They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

Basically the reward rate on Tesco petrol is now 8 times more generous than Sainsburys petrol if you use your points towards Deals.0 -
i go into the nearest petrol station, when i need fuel.
i dont see the point of spending £5 to save 1p per litre.
i had 5p off coupon for sainsburys this week, i put in £37 and got £1.90 off0 -
It makes sense for me.
Tesco Yarmouth has the cheapest petrol in the area, plus points.
I work in Yarmouth anyway, so why wouldn't I fill up there.0 -

I use my tesco clubcard for petrol (and every other) purchase. I pay transfer whatever I have spent on it at the end of each day via internet banking, my own way of earning the most points I can for deals.
Is this point promotion on every tesco petrol purchase? If i earn 2 points per litre then a full tank, around £45 would be 90 points plus whatever bonus I get on spending on the card, I think its another 1 points per £2 = 22ish points. Total would be 112 points x 4 for deals = £4.48 per tank OR about 10%!!!! My maths is rubbish - hope this makes sense.WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -
May not be any use, but Morrisons have a 'Morrisons Miles' reward card. Petrol is around 95.9, so you would have to spend £319.35 to get £5 back, so not as good as some others.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0

Clubcard Plus is one of the credit cards, not a bonus - Broke Student is counting one extra point per £1. You earn your normal 1 point per £1, then whatever extra you get from your credit card. On the older ones like mine you get something like 3 points for every pound spent in Tesco, but only 1 point for every £2 spent elsewhere, but with the newer ones I think you just get 1 point per £2 spent anywhere.
So if you spent £45, you'd get 45 'normal points', then paid using your Tesco credit card you'd get 22 extra points. So you'd get 67p, or 268p of Deals vouchers - just under 6% back.0 -
I have one of the older ones too faithless, wonder why they arent so generous with the new ones?WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0
