got a letter in todays post that 'in order to serve me better' (well, not those words but in the spirit) they will now only be giving one point for each pound spent instead of previous 2.
it may not be worth the extra petrol getting to their stations anymore unless i'm already passing by.

I had the same letter this morning. They're actually making it 1 point per litre rather than per £1, but since a litre almost costs £1 they've still effectively halved it.
I love the way they always put a positive PR spin on these things... "we're doing it in our customers' interests"... etc. Of course, customers love paying more for less.
That makes Tesco Clubcard a massive 8 times more generous than Nectar when you use fuel points for deals (4% vs 0.5%).0 -
!!!!!!!s!
Will check out the Total Deal - but their fuel is more expensive.
Glad I got a GE Cashback Card though - 3% cashback on petrol.
Every little helps...0 -
It's the last time I ever buy petrol at Sainsbury's. I will go out of my way to avoid them, unless they are significantly cheaper than elsewhere! which I doubt.
It's not just the halving of points, they are now more or less in line with BP's policy on Nectar points, but that letter was really trying to my insult my inteligence. We're halving the points, but it's going to be better for you, oh of course it is.0
