Anyone done a pick up at Heathrow Airport and not paid to park?

This was on Watchdog last night! You are allowed 90 mins at the McDonald Carpark, but you aren't allowed to return within 2 hrs.

People were getting nasty letters and fines!

but the parking charges will be from a private firm who have no legal standing at all so ignore their 'fine' letters and just bin them.

Depending on the actual time of arrival on Bank Holiday Monday, I personally would go to the garden centre near the Holiday Inn M4 J4 (Stockley Rd, I think). We've often used their cafe for breakfast before a flight when staying at the hotel.

You would be close enough for when you get the text they have arrived although we have never travelled from Terminal 5 so there maybe somewhere similar but even closer to T5.

Parked in Short Term Car Park at Heathrow T5 yesterday,arrivals flight was delayed so ended up being there for hour and a half and cost £8
