Im currently paying £35 for 600 mins, unlimited txt and web on a N97 mini contract. I got a phone call today from vodafone who offered me a 12 month sim only deal with 600 mins and unlimited txt at no extra charge!!

She said my current tariff will drop to £25 and it will be £10 for the sim only. So still works out at £35. Im well happy with that.

You won't be if you get a bill for an entirely different deal. Never accept anyhing Vodafone offers unless you have it clearly in writing first. Read the numerous threads on here and you will find volumes of testomy by people who accepted on thing only to find later that they had been lied to.

It would be wise to check your Vodafone account online to make sure the plan details are correct once your tarrif is changed over.

My brother ended his £35 per month contact with vodafone a couple of month ago and decided to take out a sim only 12 month contract. I'm sure they offered him 300 minutes plus 500 texts for £15. A few weeks later Vodafone changed the tarrif to 600 minutes plus unlimited texts for the same price so he phoned them and they changed his tarrif with no problems. £10 per month is a really good deal for 600 minutes and unlimited texts.

On their website the sim only deal is £10 for 300 minutes and 3000 texts. or £15 for 600 minutes and 3000 texts.

Look here (http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/sim-only-plans/all-sim-plans) for the deals. Even the top deals are only £25 a month. The reason these are so good compared to phone tariffs is that they are not providing you with a discounted phone.

The above is a little contradictory. Will you be paying £10pm, £25pm or still £35pm?

If you're getting the same as your original £35 for £10 with internet, then that would be a good deal. But you don't mention if the Internet is still included in the Sim Only deal they offered you.

Looking at the Vodafone website, I can see a couple of £20pm deals that have either more minutes (900 or 600) or more internet data (500Mb or 1GB). So if they are offering you a £10 sim only + £7.50 for internet bolt-on then it doesn't look quite as appealing for 12 months, so double check. Always get them to beat their own web offers.

There also doesn't seem to be a massive difference between the 30 day and 12 month contracts...only slightly more internet or minutes. If you wont' be fully utilising those extra minutes or data each month, then I would just stick with 30 days contracts.

The sim only is only 600mins and unlimited txt. Does not include the web.

In total i still will be paying £35. My original plan will drop to £25 and its £10 for the sim only. So this still equals to £35.

I will double check my bill online to make sure its all ok.
