Title wrong on ticket-question

Can any one help?
I have booked an 'award' flight for my daughter using a friends airmiles. I did the booking over the phone and everything went ok until the e-ticket arrived and it said Mrs on the ticket, I called back as I had not been asked for the title (I mean I know if my girls married or not!) I was told I would have to pay 45euro to change the ticket- this was KLM/AIR FRANCE. I said it was unfair and they said I'd have to pay it then dispute it. I've not done that yet as does it really matter?
The passports do not use a title and I have friends that have tickets saying doctor but it's not mentioned on the passport.
Please someone advise me ....
