Ryanair priority boarding with 2 year old?

My point was general, rather than specific about that particular poster. More specifically I was addressing your second paragraph. I wouldn't call someone who paid a few quid for legroom a muppet!
(and remember, children *can* sit in bulkhead seats)Legal team on standby0 -
If you can't get seats together the cabin crew have to move other passengers. This is a CAA regulation, because if you are sepearated you will hinder evacuating the aircraft looking for your children/them looking for you. Having said that, Ryanair are an irish airline, so it is difficult to say if the rule applies to them.0

Hi, just wanted to try and put your mind at rest about travelling with Ryannair, I went to Tenerife last year with them and can honestly say it was one of the best flights I have ever taken. Queues moved reasonably fast, aircraft was spotlessly clean, enough legroom not to be too cramped, food and drink being sold constantly throughout flight. I would definitely use them again. Sorry I cant help regarding the children, just letting you know of my experience of travelling with Ryannair. Have a great trip !!0

My OH and I travelled to Malaga and back with two children at during easter break with Ryanair, like you I wondered if I should buy Priority boarding, but friends told me it was a waste of money.
We had plenty of choice of seats both going and coming back even though we were not near the front of que to board. No one on our flights had any problem getting seats together with their family and both flights were full both ways.
I wouldnt bother even thinking about Priority the next time we go,its not necessary0 -
Wow thanks everyone for the advice. We've had family staying all weekend and i haven't had time to check the replies before now but I'm really grateful for everyone for telling me their experiences. We have a few more weeks to think about it but I'm veering towards taking a chance and not paying the extra... fingers crossed! I can't believe they would make my son sit on his own so can't see it would be a big problem, at worse my husband and I might have to sit separately but that's not the end of the world (it might be nice to take turns to sit alone if son being a pain!!)
The flight is at 6am, if we get to Stansted at 4am will that give us enough time or should we get there earlier do you think?
Thanks again for all your replies.0 -
I've only flown on Ryanair once (tend to prefer Easyjet - though I had no real gripe with the one Ryanair experience I've had), but on that occasion a man boarded the plane with a child who looked about two. They were the last people to board the plane and there were only single seats available, so the FAs asked another passenger to move. In fact, everyone who saw them looked as though they were about to offer their seats - probably out of fear of having to sit next to a two-year old with no parent nearby.3-6 Month Emergency Fund #14: £9000 / £10,0000
