Nat west Bank charges!Will they freeze if i close my account?

I have had my account charged six times since i went overdrawn by 56p.I wrote a letter to the bank saying i couldnt afford to pay it.I sent back a list of my incomings and outgoings for financial hardship but they turned me down,during this i was charged again and now i just want to offer a small monthly payment plan to repay this as i dont want it spiralling anymore!.Should i make the offer?I i close my account will the charges stop?

No, they won't, because you can't close your account unless the balance is £0 or above.
