Hi All, on my soap box today about the ever escalating cost of fuel. yesterday £35.00 got me half a tank in my 1.4 litre car. Are we all just going to moan about this and do nothing?
I urge you all to ONLY BUY YOuR FUEL FROM THE CHEAPEST SUPPLIER IN YOUR AREA as there must be a way of getting our message across to the greedy oil companies.Believe me, this is never going to get better everyone until we all protest in some way.
I may have to go a few miles out of my way, but it is the only way i know to do SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

There is an easy way to cut petrol prices, if everyone in the uk picked one fuel company for 2 weeks and not use the any other. when the profits of the other companys start to fall, think of the pressure they would bring on to the goverment and not only that the other companys would drop thier prices as well0

So just how big is an A-class fuel tank? At £1.20 a litre, £35 is 29 litres, making the fuel tank 58 litres, or almost 13 gallons. My 1.8 Audi A3 has a 55 litre tank."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

From wikipedia its 54 litres.
Why are you taking this so literally? It would only take the gauge to read a millimetre over half a tank for the calcs to work out. The o/ps point was about fuel prices, not the size of the tank on his car?0 -
Another one of these. Indeed I was reading my transport economics notes the other day which mentioned that fuel has a high substitute value hence they prices are virtually the same at fuel stations!0
