Hi,

Trying to find the cheapest flight possible to either Vancouver or Portland leaving the last week of July and coming back on the 3rd week of August.

I wish I had booked late last year as might have got it cheaper.

Currently the cheapest I can find is £640 to Portland.

Ideally would like to go to Vancouver then get the train down to Portland but it's over £850!

EDIT: Just noticed my dates were wrong... im flying out in July!

Air Transat from Gatwick is over £700 in August too.

Weirdly the cheapest option I have found so far is to do a multi city option.

We want to visit Seattle then am going on the train to my aunties for a few days.

Instead of having to get the train back it is actually cheaper to get the return flight from Portland back to London via Amsterdam.

Cheapest I have so far is £651 from the BAA website which is cheaper than Kayak.

Have you tried flights to Seattle in that case?

    Always cheaper than YVR.

If you drive, would it not be cheaper to hire a car and drive down to Portland (or vice versa)? Its only a 5 hour drive as my sister-in-law spouted when we got married in Vancouver and refused to go down to Portland!!!
