Sell/give away the computer. Guaranteed success.

    Program called Netnanny, or similar?

A quick way of doing it without installing any additional software is to edit the Windows hosts file. Another way is usually possible using your routers control panel, they often have a blocked sites list.

What sort of router do you have as most routers you can block URLs. This means you don;t intall extra software on your pC which could slow it down. Have a look at your routers manual

The OP doesn't want to block it for himself though...

If the OP could let us know whether these 1 or 2 people are using the same PC or their own, then we might be able to find a solution.

Here's your options I'd probably suggest
    • Policy Editor (depending on version)
    • Router Settings (depending on router)
    • A registry file of a sort (which applies ebay to the "blocked" internet sites)
    • 3rd party software

If you are the adminstrator on the account, go onto the control panel and then you can block whoever you want from whatever you want. Just make sure that the other person(s) don't know your password!

This should come with a privacy warning.

Er, just which part of the original posting leads you to assume that the person asking the question uses either a PC or Windows?

No wonder religions attract so many passionate, fanatical and unquestioning followers.

    jill36,

When implementing any of the solutions posted above by the "non assumers" remember two things:

1.) The router can usually be given a "Factory Reset" by the offender, if they can physically get their hands on it. This completely negates any safeguards installed on it by you. :wall:

    2.) Your administrator password!

It would be wise also to block access to your PayPal account.

It's important, too, to bear in mind (particularly if your router is wireless) that anything you implement on your own computer will not restrict access to your router by other computers, wi-fi enabled mobile 'phones, iTouches, PlayStations and your neighbours!

(That didn't occur to the Redmond Rednecks, either.)

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.
