Domain email forwarding/reply question

• You can use Google Apps for domains for free. It's the same as GMail but you use your domain and won't have the "on behalf of".

I push emails through my web hosting provider for my work email to avoid the "on behalf of" but to do this you'd need an SMTP account elsewhere.

I've used Google Apps for years and would recommend it to anyone who wants to use their own domain for email.

I've not done this for a bit but the process goes as follows:

• Open account for your domain (standard edition = free)
• Change some settings with 1&1 to prove you own the domain (google gives specific instructions for 1&1 if I remember correctly)
• Change your MX records with 1&1 so your email goes to Google (again specific instructions)

Thanks, Fiendishlyclever, thats just what I needed, I`ve run through the setup right until I make it final and change the settings on my domain...

I have one question that I have not been able to find a definitive answer to. How do you forward all mail from one account on the domain to another, I currently forward ac1@domain.com and ac2@domain.com to a gmail accoun and handle all the mail from there or my Android phone. Forwarding seems to be missing from the Apps account tabs and is not allowed using filters. I cant see the "reply from account mail was sent from" option either. Do you think option will appear when the domain and addreesses are properly verified or not?

Forwarding is in settings/forwarding on my Apps mailbox (within the mail application just the same as GMail). You can also add multiple email addresses (using the admin dashboard) to a single mailbox with nicknames (go to a user and click add nickname).
My Apps account also has the reply from account mail was sent from option - maybe it only appears when you have multiple addresses set up?
