No problem talking to the sellers. This may result in them calling their solicitors which will mean either:
1. Solicitor does something about it because he is being pressured by his client; or
2. Solicitor tells seller client that he the client is holding things up because he hasn't completed all the forms or made an initial payment or whatever. Hopefully then seller does whatever is required and things get moving.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
verytricky69 - I waited two months for the draft contract. I also know that my solicitor had written to the sellors solicitor 3 times before we finally got it through. Again all we got was letters saying "we are not in a position to send you the contract at this time". We got that 3 times in response to our letters, although at least that had the courtesy to change the wording slightly each time!!
I hope it comes through soon as I know I am a very patient person but this house buying process is pushing me to my limits!0 -
we have been struggling to get paperwork from our seller for 3 weeks, rang the chap on monday and he explained exactly why there was a hold up, told solicitor and she now knows and is tackling the issues with his solicitors.
