Sky 2nd Box in Bedroom? Help please

Options
Afternoon all..
Just upgraded to a SkyHD Box from the old Sky+ box, install is happening on Saturday.. However i currently have the Sky+ in the lounge with the RF2 output going to the bedroom..
Is there a way to wire the Sky+ Box strait into the bedroom, whilst having the HD in the Lounge.. without having to pay a multi room subscribtion.
Im not worried about having the Recording facilities etc, Not the movie channels, Only the Free to View ones because we'll only have one card..

Just wondering if any body knows of a way to do it, or do i need a new dish?/
Any help appreciated.
thanks

You need to have 2 more feeds ran from the Quad LNB on the dish to the bedroom if you want to use it as multiroom (IE-Record one & watch another channel) but if you just want to use it as a freeview box you can get away with 1 feed.
If you only have 1 card which'll be in the HD,then you wont get Fiv,Fiver,Five US & Sky3.
  • FIVE can be added in manually into 'Other Channels,' though there'll be no EPG for it.

just use the one that is currently in the box. With your HD box they will give you an HD card.
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..

There's no such thing as an HD card. Your current card would have been taken from the old box and paired with the new HD box.

You won't get a card for free. Sky will charge you £20, but there are ways to get one if you subscribe to one of the lesser non Sky channels.

    See will-in-estoril's post here.
