Need help with BB question..being bit thick!

Options
Hi..im new on this forum

I currently have a BT line at £11 a month rental, but all calls,tv and BB are with Sky.
Hubby is leaving the home and taking the Sky package with him,so i am now looking for just BB and calls provider.
I have doen a search on this site and have many comparisons,i notice O2 have £7.50 a month just BB and various others have calls/bb for around £10...but then i notice that Talktalk have a good deal at 6.99 a month,BUT it also says line rental 11.49...is this instead of BT line rental or as well as??

No, it's instead of, you only have to pay line rental to TT, not both!
However the Essentials £6.99 package is only available if your exchange is LLU'd for TT, otherwise it will cost you £15 more if non-LLU.

Bear in mind that once your line is LLU'd to TT, you cannot move your broadband elsewhere without first going back to BT for line rental (minimum 12m contract).

If you can get o2 LLU broadband then personally I would put it at the top of your list to consider. ESPECIALLY as today you can blag 70-90 quid cashback via QuidcoTopCashBack and first 3months free. See my other thread for details. Depending on your attitude to an o2 Mobile they can effectively even PAY YOU to use it for your first year (which is your contract commitment). And the phoneline MUST stay with BT - ie no worries there waiting to bite you in the future.

NB: o2 LLU packages are Standard/Premium/Pro = the excellent ones.
o2 Access is NOT an LLU package and cant be recommended wholeheartedly (some people would SAY AT ALL)
