Take it back, they will refund it.

it's the way of ikea tho, it might be cheap but it's still aload of rubbish.
Nothing I've ever bought from Ikea has been problem free

I took the table back to Ikea, no queue for returns (never really is on weekdays) and told the person what happened. She just gave me a refund so I guess I was lucky.
