Groom's Wedding Day Present

Hi all,

My OH keeps bragging about how organised he is in that he knows what he's buying me as a wedding day present. Now I on the other hand haven't got a clue what to buy him! I know he's not expecting anything, but I want to get him something. He is the man who has everything, and if there's something he does want he just goes and buys it.......

I do have a card with a poem I've written inside.

So, Brides - what (if anything) have you bought your Groom?
And Grooms - what would you like to receive from your Bride? Clean answers only please!!

V x

I'm getting mine a vintage pocketwatch, and having it engraved. My mum got my dad the same thing on their wedding day, and he kept a lock of both mine and my brothers baby hair in it until someone broke into our house and stole it.

    That's a nice idea!

I think I'll be keeping my eye on this thread for some ideas, I've got a while to go though before I'll need em!

A watch, but he doesn't want a wedding ring, so he's getting a wedding watch, he already knows though as he requested it lol

I'm considering a watch, like the idea of getting him something engraved. I'm also going to do a scrapbook type thing with photos of us and some written bits based on the questions from this http://www.ohsocherished.co.uk/product/1031/296/deluxe_my_beautiful_groom_journal
  • Thanks for this, I will have a look at the links you've posted.
The cufflinks are what we're giving the Groomsmen as a thank you present, and my OH has enough pairs! & unfortunately he doesn't like wearing a watch. He's such a pain! V x

Does he play guitar? I'm thinking of buying my OH an engraved hallmarked silver pick, or a new watch....can't make up my mind!

I am doing a journal similar to the groomsbook but am putting together tickets ,photos of places we have been to etc I have collected of the things we have done. At the end I will do a collage of our future together .However I wont be giving him this to later I think- as he will prob be too rushed in the morning to read it.

I am also hoping to make him a little clothed love heart sprayed with my perfume as it always reminds him of me -which I will give in the morning.

Maybe go with a box of the 5 senses -that will definately get him emotionaly. Something to smell, taste, look at, hear and touch that remind him of you both together.
