seller ignoring emails

I won and paid for a laptop from a sellerwith 100 per cent positve feedback, chased him after couple days to confirm if dispatched - said he was promised it would be the following day by his supplier????? have emailed him again 3 times since then to get confirmation that it HAS been dispatched but no answer dispite him saying he would email me tracking details in original response..........not sure what to do at this moment. Tried checking contact details to see if telephone number or address so I could get one but no joy.

Been 7 days since I paid for this.

If you paid by Paypal, start a chargeback.

Out of interest how many feedback does the seller have and how long have they been registered.

When you requested the sellers details did the information come back to you from ebay?

You could try and open a dispute for an item not received so the seller knows you have not forgot about it. It could be a little glitch on the sellers part or they could be trying to rip you off

If you funded the payment via a credit card you can easily get your money back from your cc company

member registered since may with 10 positive feedback, when I did a check said info not available and to contact seller via the contact seller button. I used cc on paypal, have just emailed again asking for a reply withing 24 hrs regarding dispatch and anticipated delivery I will take it that it has not been sent and start charge back procedure as well as the negative feedback section on ebay.

when i have sold stuff on ebay there is a mark item as dispatched button to click on - is there a way I can check to see if the seller has marked item as dispatched ?

If the seller originally said problems with his supplier then he MAY be dropshipping (being a sort of middleman) in which case delivery MAY be out of his hands. So dont give up hope just yet, but do follow other posters advice.

A seller loses all his seller protection with paypal if he fails to despatch within 7 days of payment, so the seller should be getting very worried.

Personally with something as expensive as a lap top I would be looking for excellent communications with my seller, and if I didn't see that then I would be starting a paypal chargeback on day 7.

And one other thing. Never, never threaten bad feedback either do it or don't.

As a seller once that threat has been made my offers of help and refunds is greatly tempered.

I would never lay out money for anything on a buyer with hardly any feedback even if it is all positive as it's so easy for people to get feedback by just buying cheap items etc.

I probably not buy anything expensive on ebay as I would rather use a repuatble online store unless the ebay sale swas a good price and the seller is a power seller with loads of feedback

And his previous feedback was for what exactly. 10 feedback is the usual scammers method. If the auction was based in China, or outwith the UK, start to panic now.

thanks still no reply from him, based in scotland so have now started procedure to get money back....how long should it take.

p.s. have bought 2 cars and a laptop in past as well as other items as well as sold stuff.........this is first problem I have had.
