That said Pat, my bill for the last quarter was 150 pounds, 8 percent discount on that was 12 pounds. 26 percent discount on that would have been 39 pounds.

I found out about the additional discount when I rang up to query my bill, when I asked why I wasn't notified of this when I signed up the representative said 'its not something we advertise' Thanks EON :D

Youve lost me BLT - not sure where youre getting these percentages from , or the discounts ? (Forgive me, its been a gruesome day !)

Was going to pm this to Malcolm Eon rep, but clicking on his name only gave me the general Eon site . Profile says no contact info available, So - hope youre there Malcom
Starting my change to Eon, it says I am going to need supply numbers. I cannot find one on my bill for BG unless its the meter point ref no or meter number , or customer reference number. Dont want to get half way through a change and be unable to fill in a box! Which of those will Eon be happy with for a supply no because thats all there are on the bill.

    Hi Anglicanpat

Sorry you're having a problem finding my contact details.

You can find the email address by going into my Profile and then to Biography under Additional Information.

The supply numbers will be on your previous bills. For gas, it is the Meter Point Reference (MPR) Number; and for electricity, the Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN).

The MPR will be a 10 digit number beginning with 16.

The MPAN will have 13 digits.

Hope this helps but if you are unsure please use the email address as above and I will be happy to help further. :)

They were on the paperwork I received when I signed up to EON Version 8 and on my last bill.

They don't make it easy to find, but it's there:

    http://www.eonenergy.com/At-Home/HomePage.htm

    Products & Services

    Electricity and Gas Products

    Prices & Discounts

    Post Code

The deal varies across the country, so they can't give a simple page that applies to everybody.

I have just switched to V8 from V6, as the quarterly bill is due, so it's a good juncture.
I want to fix at this price for five years, not just one.

I was presuming seeing the angry face that you had missed out on some discounts by EON not telling you something? Have I got it wrong? Im presuming the discounts shown - (for instance in my case from the link provided -see below -thank you Pincher) which add up to 24.80% would automatically be subtracted from my bill whether I had known about them when I joined or not? Are you saying they werenot applied to your bill?

The discounts only get applied if you actually sign up to the package. When you initially take out your contract with EON they don't actually inform you of the option. Obviously they would rather give you 6% discount than 24.8% discount.

I only found out when I mentioned that I was thinking of transferring my utilities, at which point I was told of V8, however discounts are not applied retrospectively.

    Hey guys,

Me and my bf moved in togethr in spetember and despite being energy concious our bills have been really big. The landlord made us stay with utility warehouse and a quarterly gas bill was £200!!!! even though we didnt put the heating on much!

Been looking at this deal but sadly im young and all the jargon and numbers has confused.me. I do not know if it is worth changing onto it. We have only had 2 bills but one was not a real representation as we had a dodgy boiler...any help please...we are so skint and need to change!!!
Need a new start..wheres good to live in the UK?!
