Comfortable/supportive sandals/shoes

I have a pair of Ecco flat ankle boots & a pair of shoes and they are really comfortable.
Also, check out FlyFlot, they do boots, shoes and sandals - someone told me that a lot of nurses wear them.
My Mum has just bought a pair of Earth Spirit shoes (Davenport style) and she says they are really comfy:

I wear Hotter shoes and sandals. I have various health (back and arthritis) and feet problems including wide feet so have to be very careful. They are excellent and wear well. My mother wears them too.

Hope you find something suitable.0 -
Similar problems and I have a pair of Rieker shoes which are wonderful, although not always easy to find. I need a shoe horn to put on and then they are bliss. Usually found in independent shoe shops and sometimes general outfitters. Padders are another make I look out for.0

Another vote for Merrells here. I have a couple of pairs which I've worn constantly for about two years now and they're utter bliss. I bought mine on ebay, one pair from a "vintage" reseller in New York and even with the shipping they cost me less than £25 and were brand-new.
Birkenstock's are very, very comfy but rather expensive but there are other manufacturers who make extremely similar styles. I have some sandals which I bought in the sale at Bertie over ten years ago, fit like an old pair of slippers and they're still going strong0 -
Another vote for Ecco. There sandals and shoes are the most comfortable I've ever worn.0

A vote for flyflots here - have two pairs and both really comfy.:j0

Wow didnt realise there were so many types of supportive shoes! Im amazed
I recommend Fitflops, although I must admit I havent tried any of the others mentioned. I wear both my Fitflops sandals and Mukluk boots to work and wouldnt be without them! The boots are my favourite, and even though they were expensive I would say worth every penny, although I am sure through the summer they will get too hot!0 -
Wow, thanks for all the replies, keep them coming please if there are any particular styles that are good.Jan Grocery challenge
