Web browsing query (o2 active or 3g)

I'm on an o2 contract (Nokia 5800) with the internet bolt on.

The o2 active for browsing is very slow in my opinion. Can I browse the web using 3g for a faster connection or is this something extra that you'd need to pay for?

Thanks

when i connect to the internet i get the following options

    Search for WLAN

    Internet "O2 Active"

    WAP services "O2 Active"

When out of range of my wireless network I select O2 Active which is quite slow

the O2active and WAP will be on 3G only if 3G is available where you are, in anycase it will more than likely be noticeably slower than a wlan connection.
