You haven't got a problem now. You worried it wasn't durable - a lot of people have told you that it in fact IS durable so just enjoy your sofa!0

Christ alive... you do like to worry don't you?
And I somehow doubt a manufacturer, in a manual for their own product, would describe their product as not durable! Your either reading it wrong or its probably a misprint...0 -
Dont worry ,we purchased 2 semi aniline sofa 5 yrs ago ,I too was really worried as it was uber soft and within weeks it had a couple of nicks and after a few months we had a little bit of mottling of colour BUT after 5 yrs ,it still looks like new ,its wearing really well and a lot tougher than you would imagine.
Just never let anyone with buttoned back pockets or keys in their back pocket sit on the sofa ,we have a throw in cases like that.0 -
why not see if you can come to some sort of agreement whereby they pay for you to have a protective film applied that repels stains... I am sure many furntiure upholsters etc like leathermaster protection?
Further that ensure you have accidental damage on your house insurance. We have a cream leather sofa that sadly has got stained and we have just been paid out to replace it, no problem at all

I am seriously offended by your comment, your literary skills should be put in to practise a little more before critisizing mine.... and read the quote from the manufacturers leaflet that I posted! I do know how to read and having quoted what the leaflet reads already I'd have thought it was hard to misunderstand a simple statement such as that. It also states that there are 4 types of leather they manufacturer in, and aniline and semi-aniline are the least durable of them!! So when you ask for the more durable... that is what you expect! OBVIOUSLY.
skiTTish .... However, thankyou for your reassurance, at least someone can actually speak from experience, I feel alot more comfortable in the knowledge that in your experience it weathers ok.0 -
If you are still concerned, you could ask FIRA to carry out an independant examination of the furniture. There website is here:

and these are their service technicians:

I had to use them as my previous leather sofa from Tesco was made of split leather. That isn't a durable leather and the seats started to shred after two months of normal household use. Their report helped me get a refund from Tesco and I bought the semi-analine sofa which I've been more than happy with. Here I go again on my own....0
