First of all I am sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
So....I signed up with Sky broadband on the 7th April for £17 a month and a line rental as well (dont remember price of line), also a years FREE McAfee security. 7th April came and I have no router so I call them, they say it will take 14 DAYS.....(!!!!!!).
Anyway 9th April I get a call saying I was connected (still no router), so I was annoyed to say the least....long story short. They offered me £10 a month and half price line rental for a year....Excellent (:
Router came 12th and another on the 13th lol
So now I come to set the new McAfee up and it says I have it FREE for 3 months and after that I pay £3.00 a month. I call them up and they say cos I am paying £10 a month and not £17 I am not allowed 12 months free McAfee.
Are they allowed to do that?
Should I call again?

dont worry about it, Macfee isnt the best and there are free ones out there that are better, take the £7 saving and get Avira for free. Search the tech forum for advise on Macfee.0

Above is correct in fact they are probably doing you a favour, you could also look at microsoft security essentials, also free.
Good luck with the Sky Connect package. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I' agree with penrhyn, there are far better out there.
Avira, Avast or MSE all free or if you are looking for a paid version Kaspersky.
Avoid McAfee and AVG.0 -
If you bank with Barclays, you can get Kaspersky for free. I think that it is the best around. I have used and paid for it for years, but now get it for free!0
