External drop wire connects either to a 77A junction box,then via internal non flooded to the NTE5 Master (or Mini Master in older property's ) or directly into the NTE5.

Do you connect your router into the master or are you using a plug in extension?
If you ever do want to use a plugin extension for a telephone then put the filter into the master end. Plugin extension cables do have ringwires and also use untwisted cable so they can be bad news depending on how they are connected up.0 -

The cheaper ones are also made from Aluminium which does'nt help.Copper strand core is the best.0 -
I connect the microfilter into the faceplate, and filter goes to router via telephone wire. Router then goes back into mains via network cable to Homeplug, which I use around the house. I can't think of any easier way of doing that to get connected?Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

Assuming you only have a short(ish) lead from the filter to the router than that sounds ideal and I doubt you'll better it.

now getting 4.5mbps from this socket, after provider "estimating" I could only achieve 2mbps!Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!
