suggestion to make site easier for beginners

Not being very computer literate, I was a slow starter on this site. I have since learnt to do so many things with the help of other users. Today however I needed to a screen shot and could not remember how. ( I have since found what I was looking for, when I looked to post this) When I first started I used the unofficial a-z and found it invaluable, I dont know how I found it and have just spent an hour trying to find it again. Would it be possible to have a link on the home page, make it fairly noticable and point out it is for computer illiterates or aged people like myself. I'm sure new users would appreciate it as well as older users who are not very savvy.

If I have completely missed a link on a relevant page, appologies and please tell me where and I will copy and paste it to my in box. Many thanks, Janeys

I am aged and computer literate and resent the implication that being old somehow means you have to be stupid.
