KGB Deals: Cineworld ticket £1

Comments

  • There is nothing wrong with the site I got the last £1 cinema ticket from them okay as a £15 cheque, if they were fraudulent I wouldn't have received anything. I too tried to get another ticket using a different card and email address but it got flagged up with the same messages as everyone else this time as the address details were the same.

Don't do it!!! I just ordered a ticket on my card and another one for my boyfriend on his card. Within minutes the fraud department at HSBC phoned him at work to tell him that they had cancelled his card because the site had copied his details and it was fraudulent.
Now i am absolutely terrified that my card details have been copied too!!! AND what about everyone else who has been entering their details on this site?!?

I thought because the link was on MoneySavingExpert that it would be all checked out and be absolutely fine. Now it's just landed us in a load of mess!!!

    Terrified/Mess!!! Get a grip!

The site is 100% legitimate regardless of what HSBC may tell you. Somebody is putting 2+2 together and very wrongly getting 5 if they're telling you this rubbish.

NEH thanks for that...like i said its my first purchase through MSE so was just asking.

i reckon martin would step in anyway if something went wrong with this one too, but as far as i can see, it seems to be pretty genuine at the mo.

we will just have to see if our e-tickets come through after bank holiday.

ive only just discovered cineworld...i used to go to vue and odeon, but now i travel that bit further to go to cineworld....the screen was like 4 times the size...it was amazing!!!.....did smell abit though LOL

I too am trying to buy a ticket for my partner using his email address.
I keep getting the same message:

    Ooops

Looks like someone with that name and address has already purchased this deal. Strictly limited to one per customer on this deal – rather than get another yourself tell your friends to join in the fun!

I think MSE should have mentioned that you need a different credit/debit card to pay for 2nd ticket. What you supposed to do if you have only one card?
I now have one useless ticket as I'm not going on my own. Anyone want to buy one for £1.50? ;)

    I think you/anyone else who does the same be annoyed with themselves rather tham MSE because it quite clearly states on the purchase page;

Strictly one voucher per customer, per email, per credit card – up to two vouchers for each household address.

It's still a pity even if you have two cards but in the same name they won't take it....and it's a shame that only the people named on the vouchers can go...

Did you use a different e-mail address for the second one ?

KGB vouchers can be used by anyone, they are not for named persons only.

i bought two tickets. One for me and one for the OH. I used two different email addresses and two different cards. I got a confirmation email for both of them, but im half expecting one (or maybe both) of them to be cancelled because both of the cards i used (one credit and one debit) are in my name. Guess i'll wait and see.

I've got 2 cards in my name, the name on one is Ms K B Bloggs (made up surname) and on the other it says Karen Bloggs, as the names are slightly different it didn't get picked up on.

i did the exact same thing. fingers crossed it will be ok, i got a confirmation email for both of them so its looking positive :)

Also, on the facebook page someone wrote this:
got mine okay and tried to get one for my son but wouldn't accept the same debit card details.

KGB Deals replied with this: it's one per credit/debit card I'm afraid. You can order another if you use a different credit card or get a friend to do it for you!

so it sounds like it is OK to use two cards in the same name. Who knows though.
