  • I too am trying to buy a ticket for my partner using his email address.
I keep getting the same message:

    Ooops
Looks like someone with that name and address has already purchased this deal. Strictly limited to one per customer on this deal – rather than get another yourself tell your friends to join in the fun!

I think MSE should have mentioned that you need a different credit/debit card to pay for 2nd ticket. What you supposed to do if you have only one card?
I now have one useless ticket as I'm not going on my own. Anyone want to buy one for £1.50? ;)

You obviously weren't around at the last Cineworld deal that caused masses of trouble and Martin very kindly stepped in to save the day and that too was recommended in the email.. ;)
  • I can't buy one - says there's a problem with my payment - I've just rung the bank and it's all ok there...rubbish.
  • Don't do it!!! I just ordered a ticket on my card and another one for my boyfriend on his card. Within minutes the fraud department at HSBC phoned him at work to tell him that they had cancelled his card because the site had copied his details and it was fraudulent.
Now i am absolutely terrified that my card details have been copied too!!! AND what about everyone else who has been entering their details on this site?!?

I thought because the link was on MoneySavingExpert that it would be all checked out and be absolutely fine. Now it's just landed us in a load of mess!!!

Sometimes the bank panics when it's a low amount. The fraud department stopped my card because of a booking fee for citylink a couple of months ago. They said they were being overzealous of the smalller transactions and stopping them jsut in case...

Agree with NEH fraudsters often test a card with a couple of small amounts to check a card is working then they go on the rampage with it. My credit card co has called me in the past when I've topped up both of my daughters pay as you go mobile one after another. Sometimes they just block a card while they check the transactions with you and if you've made the small purchases the block is removed immediately. If HSBC rang your boyfriend and he didn't know you'd made the purchase he would say it was fraud and they'd cancel his card.
