    <sigh>

    Bit frustrated here, I just want to KNOW!

    The form must be sent in or phoned in by July 31st 2010. As long as they recieve it by then you are fine, when they process it is anybodys guess, sometimes within 48 hrs other times 6 weeks!

    I've not even recieved my renewal forms yet!!

    I wouldn't be concerned. The renewal packs are sent out between April and June, so hold tight!

    As for how long it takes to get the claim finalised, on average yu should have updated payment amounts within about 10 days from reciept of the renewal, but the paperwork can take some time to get back to you as mentioned.

    Cumbernauld are nothing sinister you'll be glad to hear. This year theyre just making sure high value renewals (£8000 awards +) are looked at properly to ensure no c0ck ups are made. So you get a human looking at it instead of a scanner - happy days!
  • There is no set time scale for dealing with renewals returned by post as it depends on the length of time Royal Mail take to deliver it, the available resource within Tax Credit Processing, if there are any attachments to the completed renewal form, and if there are any issues with it that'll prevent it from processing without manual intervention... which is not necessarily the fault of yourself or HMRC, it just depends on the Tax Credit System and how it handles your returned form and if it matches the details on your award.
