o2 offer a cap on data charges abroad for Pay Monthly

Scroll down just below where it gives you the rates for Pay Monthly and point 4 tells you:
From 1 March 2010 O2 Pay Monthly customers can set a monthly charge limit of £40 for data usage abroad. Once this limit is reached, the data service will be stopped. To set this charge limit call Customer Services.
An end to horrific data charges!
You get a text at £20 then another when you get to the £40 limit. O2 will then but a block on your data service. When you get home you will need to call CS back up and get the bar lifted.

O2 are making it look like they're doing you a favour. What a load of cobblers. I thought I'd read on Bitterwallet that they've all been forced to do this by Ofcom from July anyway.0 -
Its mandatory from July I believe for ALL european networks. All phones will be cut off automatically when data charges exceed 40. O2 are just jumping the gun before they are forced.0
