I haven't slept for 4 nights, and I'm feeling the effects! Luckily dins tonight is the 2ndf half of yesterday's Shepherd Spy, so at least we shall eat, even if nothing else gets done!

Not a lot else to report, OS or otherwise really; I have another dog booked to come and stay with me for 11 days from 21st May, so looking forward to some canine company.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today; Ladygrim, Diva and Penpin spring immediately to mind.

P.S. I have a nickname Mark has started to call me nurdgirl:eek: due to my election interest(obsession???) Doesn't everybody sit in front of the news with a pen and paper writing down the current poll results???

Erm.......no  Nothings more likely to make me switch over TBH. Same waffle from each and every one of them.

Am loving you losing your mobile though - sounds like something I'd do. Me? Having a blonde moment....noooooooooooooo :o

Hello All, hope your day has been good.

Last two days I have had to get the bus home from work! The driver is really nice (just a rural route so usually the same chap) and dropped me nearly at my door! I'm lucky that I can get a lift from work to the town to get the bus, the next one is an hour later and there really isn't much to do in the town!

Jackieg - hope the back is better.
Stroppy - enjoy the break with your family.
Penny - sorry things aren't too good, hope they get better soon.
Anniestar - I admire your interest, I'm afraid I don't have any interest in politics.
Lamewolf - hope you sleep tonight.

Tea tonight was veg in tomato sauce (HM) and a nice piece of cod followed by a HM biscuit or two. All the ironing is up to date, kitchen cleaned and looking forward to a relaxing evening.

Best wishes to all, especially those not as good as they would like to be.

    Evening all,

I've only skimmed the post so (((hugs))) if you need one.

Today I took 3 of my work kids to the police HQ and they got to take part in police trainee interviews. They watch a short video clip of a crime and then the police trainees use their skills to try and get them to remember as much as possible during the interview. It's quite interesting for them. Not so much for me as I just sit in the canteen with the ones waiting to be interviewed. I took some work and my book so not too bad. We all got a free lunch, and they all got paid £20 each! There are another 3 going tomorrow and Thurs, but colleagues are taking them.

When I got back I could hear that the tide was almost in so I took my book and went and sat on the sea wall and read my book in the sun whilst listening to the sea for an hour :D bliss.

I made potato cakes for tea, they fell apart slightly but were still yummy.

Feeling quite shattered from yesterday's powerboating, so am going to curl up and watch Holby City and read a magazine.

    Have a good evening all

    Evening all,

Cold and windy here to-day, no rain but must get the rest of the clothes off the line in a minute just in case.

Had DDs 3 &4 for dinner, they go swimming together on Tuesdays and it is easier for them to meet here. We had ham with cabbage, turnip, carrot and the lovely purple and white sprouting broccoli from the garden.

Anniestar....have you discussed your problem with a doctor of any kind???

PenPin, nice to see you posting, sorry that you are having such a rotten time, try to ignore your sister, you and your family really can't afford any more stress.

Kerry is in oestrus so will have to be watched for whatever length of time it takes.....have forgotten from when we last had a female dog.

Lame Wolf, sorry to hear that you are not sleeping....I sleep very well and only have laziness to blame for my lack of activity...hope that you can get back to normal sleep soon.

Ladygrim....thinking of you at this very difficult time.

Diva...hope that you are feeling progressively better.

Borrowed a booklet with lots of patterns in for the grandchildren, photocopied it and now realise that whatever way my printer is acting up I have missed a line or two at the top of each page....couldnt be bothered redoing it so am going to spend the evening writing in the bits I missed. Don't I have an exciting life!

Hugs to all in need or want

My bi-annual post on the Daily Thread... :rotfl: I really do read it every day though and enjoy it enormously.

Been housebound for the last 2 weeks cos of an emergency op and now am officially bored - and there's 2 more weeks of mind-numbing sitting around. Can't bear anymore daytime TV.

As a result of this enforced 'rest' it's been mega OS in the . No travelling the country, no shopping every day and no 'normal' consumption of food. Not even any consumption of drinkies. Mind you, had a virgin foray into the world of online supermarket shopping and was extremely impressed. Swift, efficient and easy - I could become addicted.

It's good to see PP back too.

    Good vibes to everyone...

'Dogs are typically in season for about three weeks. During the first week females have a bloody discharge and are not receptive to males. During the second the discharge lessens and the female indicates her interest in males. During the third she is again not receptive to males though she is still very attractive to them'

Marie just taken that from Wikki, you will have to watch her for a while xx

Floss whats on ironing basket???????:rotfl:(I don't do that!)

Anyway evening all nurd girlreporting for posting duty.

Have redeemed myself a bit OS wise. Made a wheetabix loaf, a banana bread and a huge pan of stock.
Now the confession that shows me up as a fake :rotfl: The weetabix were at the back of the cupboard so desperately needed using up. The bananas were only recognisable by their shape:o and the stock-well the veg were about to walk out of the kitchen!
Still I did use them up.

Tea was wedges, quorn saussages, onions and peas.

Tomorrow WILL be better. I WILL get more done. I got my CD and book today but will leave it till after the election(a girl can only take so much joy!) Taking of the election just got the BBC News Election programme on. Bliss (have done my early poll results and am waiting the later ones)

Marie ha ha I was at my GP'S on Friday and she also thinks I am barking mad by paying heed to the election. BTW I am alos very interested in hte situation over there(would love to study Irish politics)

JackieGlasgow:kisses3: I know. (when exactly are you comming to Manchester:rotfl:)

JackieO I will be up all night on election night as well. It will be only my second one where I am watching on TV and not at a count then back to the :beer::beer:club(I honestly won't mention which party I support/was involved in)

Anyway, I am going to speak to some friends who are at the thick of it. I really miss not being involved at times like this. A general election is such fun. The work load is astounding but it is such fun.

Pen Pin lovely to hear from you. I am sorry you are having such a rubbish time. Hugs to you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Diva thinking of you.

RedRuby :eek: ouch. Hope you are ok now.

    Cranky and George:wave:

Taplady hope your holiday is going well.

    LadyGrim Hugs.Am thinking of you.

Jward Hope you are feeling better.

Donny Gal Hope today went well.

Having bored you all rigid. I will now slope off with my notebook:p

    Have a good night.

    Take care,
