Quick O2 Question

Shantin
Shantin Posts: 44 Forumite
I have just received my free O2 sim which I requested and have registered and set up my PAYG account with them. Very happy with service so far

I just have one question however ... when texting I always like to receive delivery reports, but am not getting any on this account. I am using a Nokia 6230i which I have set for YES to delivery reports

Do I have a problem I am not aware of ... or is this simply not part of the service one gets with O2 PAYG??

Many thanks

:)

The O2 network does not support delivery status I'm afraid.

    Mmm ... pity about that.

Well, I am now able to text to my family and friends in South Africa for 10p instead of 24p a time (the latter on my Vodafone contract), so I guess this is a small price to pay for the money I can save :j

Thanks very much for your response :)

You can get delivery reports on O2, they are just a little more fiddly to get than most networks. To get them, you need to prefix your messages with *0#.

I set up a template on my phone and set one of the main keys as a quick link to it. :)
Thanks for the info, I was wondering that myself as I had set my phone to receive delivery reports and wasn't getting them.

Thanks so much for that info!! Will try it next time I text on this mobile.
