Cannot use google - please help!

Hi,

I can access the google website but everytime i type a search it goes to some random webpage and then onto a 3rd party search engine. I have Microsoft antivirus running now after having no luck with AVG free and run the malwarebytes with no findings.

anyone have any suggestions on what else i could try?

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

    MalwareBytes
Ensure that you Check for Updates and install them before running a FULL Scan.

    Hope that helps.

Please open malwarebytes, goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the last log

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/2894/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

The only thing that is constant is change.

If you are using IE8 then click "Manage Search Providers" next to google search bar and make Google.com as default.

if you click the small arrow next the google icon you will get the manage search engines option, highlight google and remove.
