DLA Entitlement letter

Does anyone know when the DLA entitlement letter is sent out? I have last years' letter dated 23 Apr 2008. I thought a new one gets sent out every year, or maybe I'm wrong?

The only one that gets sent out yearly is the increase one.

The reason I ask is that I have to change my motability car soon, but they want an up-to-date entitlement letter. As this the most recent one, I guess it will suffice.

I received the letter advising me of the increase in this years award last week and it was dated 8th April 2010 with the increase taking place from 14th April 2010.

You need to remember that If you choose to lease a car through Motability's Contract Hire scheme you must have at least 12 months' award length remaining. If you want to buy a car with a Hire Purchase agreement, you will need to be receiving the allowance for the full length of your agreement.

no doubt healy will add a post to this thread telling me that my information is wrong!

How very childish you are behaving. First your nasty little PM and now comments like this.

If you post incorrect information I will correct it or someone else will.

they way some people behave on here is disgusting, and nothing whatsoever to do with the op's question, for god sake grow up! I'm new on here and find it a terrifing experience just posting on here for fear of what some people throw back at you. It lets down what could be a really good helpful forum.

In answer to the op, i didn't have an award letter so i requested one which was with me within a week or so. But when i got to the dealer they didn't need it as they already have the information on the screen when they put in the details from your motability renewal letter. hope this is of some help x
