help to get a birthday present

Hi

I don't think I can do this but before I call 02 I thought I'd see if there were any words of wisdom out there. I would like to get my boyfriend an Iphone for his birthday. He has a contract with 02 for around £40-£50 a month but I think he's only around 6 months into it (it's 18 months. Do you reckon I could call them (though I don't think they will talk to me about his account) and get an Iphone at a slightly reduced rate than just buying one (I am with 02 too so they will have my details) I can pay for his phone and bolt on with my debit/credit card. I just know they are going to say they can only talk to the account holder.....any help appreciated. It's even worse as the phone he is using is terrible and doesn't work most of the time. He was with Orange and moved to 02 but didn't appear to get a phone when he joined them......I wish I could negotiate his contracts for him! :o

Are you sure he would appreciate that?
If you are getting him an iphone, get him an iphone! You can buy them offline.
I don't think he or anyone would like someone sniffing around their personal accounts , even if their intent was good. It is not possible (thankfully).

They won't even talk to you. I tried to find out the upgrade costs for my wife once (I was planing on paying the upgrade cost for her), not a hope.

you can talk to O2 if you know your boy friend's O2 account password. you can then upgrade/change/cancel contracts. I am not sure if they will let you add your payment (credit card) details to his account.

Only if the OP was already authorised to do so on the account, :o
