best phone coverage?

Hi everyone. Please can anybody tell me if there is a website that will tell me which mobile provider gives the best coverage in my area? ?

Not one site, but each network has their own pages. However, these should not be relied upon for complete accuracy though.

You should test yourself using a friend/family/PAYG SIM, ideally using the same phone model you intend to use.

Note that coverage checkers will refer to the signal outside, so it could be severely diminished indoors depending on obstructions/material/interference etc.

if the coverage by vodafone and orange is not great in your area, you still have options to get a good signal.

for vodafone they have the femtocell technology called sure signal .
for orange you have UMA technology but you need UMA capable phones

Yer, I'm guessing despite the verbiage stating you need to pay £50 or £5/month, people actually get these thrown in free with a new contract.

I'm at pains to think why most people would be so desperate to use Vodafone they'd pay to get a signal...

from what i have seen on this forum i think people have got it for half price. some people might not have options if all networks are bad in their house. many times networks might show network as good on the coverage checker but might be different in practise! such people might benefit from such devices that piggy back on broadband connections as atleast then they will have a decent connection for getting mobile calls which otherwise would have gone to voicemail due to poor connection issues.
