I'll be getting my first car next month (yay!) but the cheapest insurance quote I've had works out to be £108.00 a month!! Does anyone know about any specialist young driver insurers or am I going to be stuck with this?
Thanks.
what kind of car is, i guess its a small 1.10 -
Try ASDA as my 17 year old daughter has just insured her first car Citroen Saxo 1.4i as a provisional license holder for £774.53 comprehensive including both parents as named drivers and rac homestart plus legal cover including the interest as she is paying this monthly it worked out .:)
Deposit £141.39 then 10 months at £63.30 and this was done over the phone, but if you go through Quidco she could of saved herself another £35.
We tried comparison websites and although the annual premiums were competative if you switched the payments to monthly the likes of Admiral and Elephant would charge you another £350 plus for interest on top.(:0 -
I know what you mean about Admiral etc. Will give ASDA a go as haven't tried them yet tbh. My car's a 1.1 Peugeot 106 so thought it wouldn't cost too much to insure, how wrong I was!October Grocery Challenge - £67.18/£135
Save up £500 - £0/£500
NSDs for October - 0/100 -
Everything going to expensive to insure hence the number of young uninsured drivers on the road it's all about getting that first years no claims.0

Provisional insurance isn't bad, it when they pass it gets a lot more expensive.

we got cheap insurance with CIS (co-op) when my kids started driving.... also have you thought about doing PassPlus which sometimes shaves a bit off the premium?Bern :j0
