DFW - Monday 26th April - What small DFW things have you done today

Comments

  • Morning all. I had a very busy weekend and caught up with loads of housework, gardening and HC so a relaxing type of Monday I think.

    So far I have:
    • checked banking - no change there :(
    • checked for surveys
    • sorted out chickens - no eggs yet
    • answered a Freecycle ad offering 2 rolls of chicken wire. The little darlings love digging the new beds I've earmarked for growing salads. Fingers crossed I get the wire so I can keep them off.
    • phoned DWP yet again asking where my payment is (phoned them 4 times on Friday each time told they would call back within an hour )
I've also run the dishwasher but not overnight. I had set it all up to go then DS took something out and left the door open so it didn't run. :(

    I will also:
    • check for more surveys
    • all meals from meal plan/stores
    • write meal plan for next fortnight then generate a shopping list from that
    • stretch the milk with some made from milk powder and hope the menfolk don't notice ;) (Shh Jo, don't tell your DB :silenced:)
    • spend the day in the sewing room as I've got loads to do and need to treat it like "proper" work
    • NSD - I've got nothing to spend anyway!
That's all folks, disappearing off upstairs now to see how much I can achieve by 5 o'clock.

    I have washing on line/airer
    Emails done and dusted
    Forms completed and uploaded
Just a last couple of things to add to dla forms (next!!!)
Showered and hair wash nice and early
    Washing up done and draining
    Still to check online banking
    Dog to walk
Flask for lottie rather than pick up mcdonalds coffee on way
Sort invoice to take to client tomorrow
Find sheet to fill out for guiding accounts/ or cobble together own
    Update spreadsheet
    Water seedlings
    Prod son into revision action

    I shall return........ later:D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

    Morning all

I didn’t post over the weekend (bit under the weather), but was lurking.

Determined NMS – your DDs news must’ve been such a shock, I have 18 and 15-year-old daughters and can’t imagine how I’d cope, you’ve been brilliant (((hugs)))

Littlekel – you’ve been super-busy this morning. I’m thinking of *trying* to incorporate a bit of exercise into my morning pre-work routine, but something else will need to go first, not sure what though…I thought I might just do 10 minutes of one of the morning workouts on Sky for starters.

At home today, so able to fit in a bit more than usual

    ·[STRIKE]Quick shower[/STRIKE]
    ·[STRIKE]Check bank & update spreadsheet[/STRIKE]
    ·[STRIKE]Any surveys[/STRIKE] - 15p
    ·Should be a NSD
    ·[STRIKE]Dinner from stores[/STRIKE] – chicken curry tonight…nom :)
·[STRIKE]Take mince out of freezer ready for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
·Enter some comps (aim for 10)
·[STRIKE]HC & airer or line dry (depends if the clouds lift)[/STRIKE]
    ·Add three items to ebay
·[STRIKE]Keep heating to a minimum[/STRIKE] (currently 2 ½ hours per day) & keep nagging kids and OH to ‘switch those lights off!’ :rotfl:
·Have a browse on the freebies board
    ·[STRIKE]File/shred/action post as it arrives[/STRIKE]
·[STRIKE]Cancel WW subscription as haven’t been using it[/STRIKE] – must get this done :o
    ·[STRIKE]Bit of ironing[/STRIKE]
    ·[STRIKE]Decide on a writing comp to enter[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Eat left over fruit for lunch[/STRIKE]

Will pop back later to update, have a lovely day everyone.

  • Love reading all your planning people :)
    Mine today will be

    * 2 x Washing on airer as the sky is very grey
    * 2 people are coming from Gumtree to collect a couple of things. One is free/ One is £10
    * List some more items on Ebay
    * Post the items that sold yesterday
    * Fill in Job application
    * Have a look at different Dog Foods as my dog is costing more than the kids
    * Plan the rest of the weeks meals- very successful last week so must try again
    * Go into Mr.T's and buy the staples we need
    • phoned DWP yet again asking where my payment is (phoned them 4 times on Friday each time told they would call back within an hour ).
Update - after seven phone calls over two days they've now told be I'm not entitled to benefit any more! Apparently DH will have his ESA increased but we end up losing £27 a week. That's huge money to me

I'm now so upset that this bit won't get done:
That's all folks, disappearing off upstairs now to see how much I can achieve by 5 o'clock.

Hi folks , not getting on the internet much at the moment due to computer problems but trying hard not to give up.

DNM , my DD announced she was pregnant at 15 ! It was a huge shock but she wanted to keep the baby and because my ex is a bully we agreed not to tell him. Sadly she was very very ill with the pregnancy and could not bear it so had a termination, it was very difficult and at times still is for both of us. We have had excellent support and we are very close . She has an implant now but when she had the vomiting bug last week she panicked.
Cost wise it is amazing how well you can kit out a baby from freegle.
I hope everything goes well for you.

    My list for today :
    • check online banking - it is dire - payday at midnight
    • check online banking at midnight and work out what extra paymments can make to savings and cards
    • contact ebay seller as new power supply they sent me stopped working after 4 days
    • weekly shop , sticking to list
    • check for old phone into bank
    • look for jobs ( i work in NHS as a community nurse and the reorganisation and job losses coming this summer mean i am likely to have a big paycut at best :()
    • Ring local parlimentary candidate on free minutes and find out exactly how i will benefit from voting for him.
    • HC , dry on airer
    • DD at nans so my meals will be the dubious leftovers in fridge
    • Washing up to be done - not done over weekend as too tired from work
    • Minimal ironing
    • competitions and surveys but not much motivation at present :(
    • Ring IR and querie NI bill
Lots to do but motivation low, even the sun has gone in :(
When it rains look for Rainbows
When its Dark look for Stars
