Morning.
Quick one from me. Had loads of fun at the Hill Climb although I didn't actually see much of the racing  DS wanted to play in Grandad's big truck for the most part! Still my dad enjoyed seeing them and DS must have liked the cars as he asked me if we were seeing any racing cars today :rotfl:
Got to pop and get some more spuds this afternoon and try and fit in some cleaning. Other than that not much OS
Not sure about tea tonight, have some left over chicken so will do something with that.
Jackie - hope your back continues to feel better
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Awwh, thanks guys for all you kind wordsI am still doing the little happy dance in my head
(I try not to do it at work as people back away from me in the corridors :rotfl: )
My to-do list today mainly involves making things from fimo and not doing very much. I tackled the washing up pile before I came to work and put a load of washing on. I need to have a quick clean of the bathroom when I get back tooDinner will be mushroom omlette for me and mushroom and ham omlette for OH with brocolli on the side. I might make some buns to take to work, but I might be too tired when I get in as it doesn't look like a short day for me today at work.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Afternoon all
Sorry been MIA for ages, just not been enough hours in the day to post lately, though most days I have tried to read thread. SO to all who's birthday I missed - hope you had a lovely day, to all celebrating - congratulations and to all poorlies ((((Hugs))))
Diva - hope you are on the mend
SunnyGirl - I missed the details but gather congratulations are in order re the new job
Celyn - glad to hear your news!
Jackieg - how is Coco?
Been ultra busy at work and then when I get home, it is a mad rush around with puppy Charlie who is absolutely gorgeous but so mischievous! Shredded toilet roll everywhere today and shoes out on the lawn (if I can call it that now, he is a bit of a digger!)
Trying to keep up with OS, batch cooking etc, but have to admit that HM bread has fallen by the wayside as I don't seem to have time and have been treating us to some seeded batch loaves (my favourite!). Tonight is Diva's pastryless tuna quiche and tomorrow will be bolognaise that is currently simmering in the sc ready to portion and freeze some.
I am going on holiday on Saturday to Turkey with my 2 grown up (well in age anyway) daughters for a girlie week away, so am trying to freeze as many meals as possible for OH as he is staying at home, as he gets much less holiday than I do. I know he could probably cook for himself but I will feel much less guilty if I leave him plenty of meals ready for him just to take out on a morning and microwave at night!
Anyway hope everyone is having a good afternoon, I will try harder to keep up!!!!

Ok I need to ask you talanted sewers on here a question, I have two small curtains under the sink in the utility room, they measure 26 inches by 22 inches each, I have seen the material on Ebay sold by the meter, I would like a little bit left over to perhaps try and make some bunting or something.
So how many meters should I buy, sorry id this seems a daft question, I am thinking a meter, but would that be enough ?
Thanks in advance, ( and I do feel I should know the answer :rotfl:)
Edit: Wit woo candy, a datekeep us all posted :T

Good Afternoon everyone,
Redruby, it depends on how wide it is and if the pattern has a direction. Do you have a link?
Anguk that made me laugh, do you think he's got the money stashed under a tree too?:rotfl:
Thanks to you all for the good wishes, my back is OK not great but OK. However I am about to tackle my FLYing list so we'll see how much I can do. I wouldn't mind if I knew what I'd done.
Meanmarie and Diva yes a sook is a big soppy thing, or it can also mean someone who is trying to worm their way into your affections by doing nice things for you! Lucky for me, the boys are turning out just like their dad in that way, hopefully that will last. Now, if only they would learn to put the loo seat down! :rotfl:
Nic Coco is good thanks, the phantom pregnancy is dissapating now TG and she can do some tricks. Oldest DS is doing rollover with her just now!
Candygirl Wheet woo! a date, lubky you, although I don't tend to like men with big bulgy eyes, but each to her own
Work was busy today good news that the company are helping the economy by recruiting, my department alone are looking for equivalent of 17 full time staff in the immediate future, and who knows what else is to come?
I only have one boy here at the moment, one boy who is big trouble! {I just went to the front door and came back and he said "Why are you telling people lies you have two boys?" I was a bit confused, didn't understand, he then said I saw what you'd typed on your computer, you were pretending my brother doesn't exist. Very confused mum. I then looked here and saw he'd change my message to I have two boys who are very gorgeous!} :rotfl::rotfl:minx! So as I was saying, one boy so it's nice and quiet, we are having wholemeal spaghetti with garlic parsley and chilli olive oil with parmesan and garlic bread for dinner (all HM) as we are the only two who like it! Mum and son date night!
Will dip in and out no doubt, have a good evening all!
Hugs to PP PenPin and Ladygrim, and anyone else in need!

Hope your back improves a bit hun x0 -
meter and a half for hemming. it's 44" wide, which I thought it would be, and to have 26" wide with a gather, you'll need about 32" plus seam allowance, and I am presuming the height is 22", so you'll need 47 or 48 inches for that. God crap explaination. Meter and a half. Do you not have a fabric remnat shop nearby? I've never thought of buying fabric over the net. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
