Hi,
I've just got it the other day and finally got round to playing with it tonight and one thing is bugging me I can seem to solve.
I used the MarketPlace to download a few apps and when I did the download status sort of thing in the top left of the screen has stayed there. I then ran advanced task killer and that logo has stayed in the top left too.
Any ideas on how to get rid of these?

You need to pull it down by sliding your finger on top and then down the screen - this pulls down the "window blind" with the notifications in it.
You can then clear them 1 by 1 or click the menu button etc0 -
Just as a side note, it's not advisable to use task killing apps with android.
This link explains why http://geekfor.me/faq/you-shouldnt-be-using-a-task-killer-with-android/

I had a task killer for about an hour. Then realised a) it was pretty dangerous (caused a few reboots by killing the wrong things) and b) it's unncessary. Android does a wonderful job of memory management all on its own.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

And on the rare occasions that it doesn't (usually due to a misbehaving app) you cant shut down and restart the phone. Press and hold the power button and choose shutdown.0 -
