Easyjet speedy boarding when disabled query

I wonder if any of you could help please.

My parents are due to fly from Bristol to Tenerife next month. My mum is registered disabled (she doesn't need a wheelchair but is rather slow). This is the first time they have flown with Easyjet and they are worried that they will be unable to sit together on the flight. We have told them that they will be fine, but they are still concerned.

I understand that if you are disabled, then you can have speedy boarding for free. However, we are unable to amend the booking - can't find where to do so. Mum has also tried ringing Easyjet, but only gets an automated service and it finally refers her back to the website.

If anyone has any ideas/phone numbers or email addresses that actually work then I would be most grateful to suggestions/help.

Many thanks

You do not need to book speedy boarding, you should be able to put in on your booking that you need a wheelchair for her, look carefully at your booking page and you should find it, if not look at the FAQ, it should tell you there.

There are several options, choose, cannot walk long distances, but can walk up the steps (words to that effect)

The airport has a disabled help desk, (by law) go there, they will then help her to check in, take her through the airport, and to board, Hubby does not need to register, he will normally be allowed to accompany her.

Easyjet keep seats on the aircraft for disabled pasengers.

Also tell her to take her BLUE BADGE and Clock cardwith her. If by any chance they are hiring a car, then the BB can be used at designated parking places like the UK.Do a search for translation of the blue badge to Spanish, and print it out. You then put that with the BB in Tenerife.

    Found this....

    HOW TO REQUEST ASSISTANCE
Once you have made your booking you can request different types of assistance via the confirmation page of your booking if you booked online, or with your telephone agent if you are booking by telephone. If you need to add a request for assistance at a later date, this can be done either via the "My easyJet.com" section of our website or by telephoning our customer service teams.

You can select from the following statements. Please pick the one that is closest to your requirements. You may select more than one option to cover your needs.
    • I do need a wheelchair. I CAN walk up and down stairs but I can’t walk long distances unaided. I require assistance to get me through the terminal and to my boarding gate. I can make my own way onto the aircraft or bus
    • I do need a wheelchair. I CANNOT walk up and down stairs or walk long distances but I can move about the cabin unaided. I require assistance to get me to and from the aircraft door
    • I do need a wheelchair. I CANNOT walk, stand or move about the cabin unaided and I need to be lifted into and out of my aircraft seat. I will be travelling with an adult companion who can look after my requirements
    • I am deaf
    • I am blind or significantly sight impaired
    • I do not need a wheelchair. I am travelling alone and I confirm I meet the criteria for travelling alone. I do need someone to help me get to and from the aircraft door
    • I do not need a wheelchair. I am travelling alone and I confirm I meet the criteria for travelling alone. I do need help getting through the terminal and to my departure gate. I can make my own way onto the aircraft or bus
If you are unsure which assistance level suits your needs, please contact us for advice.

Many thanks for your help aerostar - all sorted now. We had been all round the houses on their website - they are not the easiest people to contact and even with your helpful information, it was not the easiest bit to find.
Oh well, I now have a happier mother.
    Thanks again.
