No but it is good to hear. What is the mileage of your car?0

The problem is when they come to view it they will offer you much less. If its the right spec and has good history I am sure many garages will give you more for it as some of them will be desperate for a car like this at the moment.
A 2002 Focus will easily fetch £2500 on the private market so I would consider that too.
What engine does it have? What mileage, colour and service history?0 -
How does it compare with Parkers price?
In my experience I would never consider selling a car any other method than private. Garages and companies always buy with a view to making a profit, obviously, and therefore you will never get as much as you could privately.0 -

Private sales can be problematic - a friend tried to sell - first guy to come around took it out for a test drive and drove it through my mates front wall. Then said he didnt want the car as it was damaged! Bloke got out and walked away leaving his wife and kids behind!!!!! Police came and said it was a civil matter - car written off. lost 1500 quid on that one.
Furthe up the market people dont want to pay thousands on a private sale with no warranty / comeback / finance etc
Might be worth an add, but these things are not always as straight forward as they appear.
Back to WBAC - a colleague used them and they were OK - knocked him back a little, but to be fair it was on damage that he hadnt declared0 -
There was a big article in The Mirror a month or two back about this car-buying company. They offer you one price on their website, but then you have to drive the car to one of their approved garages to get a final price. They will deduct money for the slightest scratch or mark, plus a deduction for general condition. Apparently their "target" figure is to lower the original offer price by a whopping 38%. They bank on the fact that you've driven to their garage, you want the money, you're more likely to go accept for a quick sale and the cash in your hand.
I bought an 02 Focus (low mileage 5dr) last year for £2700:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

There is a thread on here somewhere about them, including a link to an article where ex staff talk about what goes on ie the knocking down targets, try to find small faults like no spare key. Most people use them because they want to get shut of the car and get the money ASAP.0

I got a price off them for my car, even on their website it came out well below what Parkers made it. I've sold a couple of cars in the past privately via free-ads (yellow newspaper) and never had any problems.Snootchie Bootchies!0
