Mis sold car deal

I'm not saying it isn't regular just that three sales in ten years isn't enough to worry them.
And it clearly isn't as they are being unhelpful.0 -
Just been to speak to a mate in the second hand car game - "if I had a quid for everybody who has asked me to sell a car for them for that reason, I wouldn't need to sell cars" - was his response
Why do we let these businesses do this to us?!0 -

Unfortunately i think you've done this to yourself if you didnt read the paperwork correctly?
I would ask for a meeting with the dealer principal and explain the situation.
If you dont get any satisfaction there, try PHONING BMW UK (not writing to them).
The problem will be they will say you would have been told at the time and you have no evidence to the contrary.
If you're otherwise going to buy another car anyway, why not simply trade this one in against it and hopefully you will get what will clear the finance?0 -
Sorry Paul
Wife been ill for many months so the need for a second car is nil - can hardly make it out of bed never mind drive anywhere!
This is what makes the whole thing worse - money is now tight due to one income only0 -

I do sympathise with you and it must be awful.
What about trying your local dealer and see if they will buy the car off you? Dealers are always looking for good stock.
I guess your only other alternative is a private sale?0 -
I thought the final payments on these deals was OPTIONAL ?
Isn't there anything in the agreement that would allow you to hand the car back ?0 -

Kilty - there are different types of agreement - OP has signed a lease purchase agreement so has agreed to purchase the car at the end of the term.0 -
Just discovered another rip off - a twist of the knife as they say! When I bought car, we agreed a figure, they then asked if I wanted GAP insurance, ten quid a month extra - I agreed! Just looked at agreement, No GAP insurance!! I can't believe I have been so gullible - I will never trust anybody again! Everyone should get written agreements checked out legally. I thought I knew what I was getting - even down to going through the written copy but misexplaining each section to sound like PCP. Bloody infuriating!!!0

Hi there
I know how you feel it is really frustrating that these big companies get away with ripping us off and we can 't do a thing about it.
If you visit this website and find the email address connected with the company you are disgruntled with - then write a well written email - you may (or may not) get somewhere.

Good luck0 -
I'd complain to the dealer principal, to BMW UK, to the finance company (and later to the financial ombudsman)
You might not get anywhere but the dealer might get punished for misselling finance products which would help others0
